Who we are
The Orphan Kitten Project is an entirely student run rescue organization based out of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Our mission is to rescue kittens that are too young to be taken into shelters (less than 8 weeks of age) and raise them in foster homes until they are old enough to be adopted. We also aim to educate veterinary students on caring for young kittens through hands on learning. OKP covers all housing and medical costs for kittens in the program and every kitten is vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. This would not be possible without the generous support of the community. If you are interested in helping please see our help page for ways to donate.
